ROHDE looked for guidance along the path coming from a long history of traditional shoe manufacturer becoming a D2C business in all aspects.


ROHDE is a brand with over 150 years of history. In 2021 the team at ROHDE decided to re-write this history by expanding to a D2C approach next to the classic B2B channels and started an online shop.

Actually we pitched to ROHDE taking over their entire B2C shop development. We don’t managed this as ROHDE decided to build this in-house but our paths crossed to join forces leading the project management, implementing the tracking, launching SEA and most importantly being the hands-on team extension taking care of all needs the internal team could not cover, e.g. PIM requirements, ticket definitions, reporting, business strategy and so on.

Besides all that it’s probably worth mentioning it happened on a very tight deadline starting in June and launching an online shop based on OXID in October. 

Why is this worth mentioning? Because ROHDE was focused on B2B only until then. ROHDE got the world's largest independent design consultancy into the project - Pentagram, designing the actual CI and UI of the shop templates from scratch…and all this resulted in some additional tasks to tackle on.

Was war das Ziel Ihrer Zusammenarbeit? BOOST IT begleitet ROHDE auf der Reise von B2B zu D2C seit der ersten Stunde. Das Ziel lag darin, innerhalb von 3 Monaten den ROHDE D2C Onlineshop zu launchen, dabei das Projekt Management zu übernehmen und SEO sowie SEA umzusetzen. Bis heute Supporte BOOST IT kontinuierlich im Performance Marketing.

What we've done

  1. Project Management: Leading the journey from zero to go-live (MVP) including all internal and external stakeholders bringing them to one table to make it happen on a strict deadline.
  2. Ongoing business consultancy: From cost analysis to stakeholder management or UX optimisation of the checkout funnel. We advised ROHDE on all topics requested and actually helped solve them.
  3. GTM setup: Client and server-side tracking setup for Google ads and Paid Social.
  4. Launching SEA: A dedicated paid search campaign was launched to pull all relevant searches to ROHDE.
  5. Content seeding: ROHDE created awesome content and we helped seeding this content via YouTube.
